Asquith Golf Club is set in bushland near Hornsby, just off the Mount Colah exit of the Sydney to Newcastle M1 Pacific motorway. Our course is rated par 70 with 18 challenging holes in very picturesque surroundings adjacent to the Kuring-gai Chase National Park. With over 75 years experience serving the golfing & social needs of the local community, visitors will be rewarded with a very friendly & memorable experience.

We are currently looking for a qualified greenkeeper, grounds person and casual food & beverage staff.

 

QUALIFIED GREENKEEPER

We are seeking the employment of a full-time, qualified turf tradesperson.

The ideal candidate will possess but not be limited to:

  • Certificate 3 in Sportsturf Management
  • Hold a current Chemical Application certificate
  • Hold a current driver license
  • Experience with an automated irrigation system including all maintenance and repair
  • Sound knowledge of IPM
  • Experience in golf course construction
  • Weekend paid overtime is part of this position on a rotating basis

This position will suit a person who is enthusiastic and will work well within the team environment or individually. They must be competent in all aspects of golf course maintenance.

Above award wages will be paid commensurate with your experience.

GROUNDS PERSON

We are seeking the employment of a full-time grounds person.

The ideal candidate will possess but not be limited to:

  • Some experience in the turf industry
  • An ability to operate turf machinery
  • Work well within a team environment or individually
  • Hold a current driver license
  • Weekend paid overtime is part of this position on a rotating basis

On the job training will be part of this position and further education opportunities may be available to the right applicant.

CASUAL FOOD & BEVERAGE STAFF

Successful applicants will need to have and not limited to:

  • Previous experience preferred
  • Motivated ‘can do’ attitude
  • Bar and Café experience (Barista skills preferred)
  • Function service experience
  • Current RSA & RCG
  • Enthusiastic, friendly and outgoing attitude
  • Open availability Monday – Sunday day and evening shifts
  • Flexibility to work between Bar, Brasserie and Functions where needed
  • Own transportation (we are not located near public transit)
  • Must be Australian Citizen or Resident  (working holiday visa applicants will not be considered)
