Social Golf
Asquith Golf Club, The Premier Golf Club Open to the Public. Whilst we have members competitions and corporate golf, Asquith is also open for social golfers. We have club hire, cart hire and motorised carts for hire, and a fully stocked Pro Shop as well as a licensed venuw that is also open to the public, offering food and refreshments and a great view. Asquith Golf Club is set in bushland near Hornsby, just off the Mount Colah exit of the Sydney to Newcastle Expressway. The course offers eighteen challenging holes in very picturesque surroundings. With over sixty years experience serving the golfing and social needs of the local community, visitors will be rewarded with a very friendly and memorable experience. The course has been substantially up-graded in recent years with fairway watering and new tees and greens.
The Clubhouse caters for all your needs with floor to ceiling windows offering panoramic views of our 34 hectares and surrounding bushland. Dining facilities for small or large functions, a la carte and BBQ’s can be catered for, all in a relaxed atmosphere.
GOLF REGISTRATION AND ARRIVAL
Upon arrival, players may either go directly to the Pro Shop or may use an area within the Clubhouse to conduct a private registration.
The private registration has the potential to add prestige and occasion to your golf day and provides an excellent opportunity for a group welcome and player briefing.
Asquith Pro Shop staff are available to assist your personnel with all golf related requirements, however, please advise whether you require staffing assistance to co-ordinate player registration and give a brief overview of our facilities.
GREEN FEES
- 18 Holes - $35 per person
Please note a minimum charge equivalent to 80 players is applicable to the Shotgun Start method of tee off.
Attached are booking conditions outlining dress requirements, deposit and confirmation procedures.
EVENT CO-ORDINATION
Our Function Co-ordinator is available to discuss the type of event or competition you would like to play on the day and the range of prizes, including Nearest The Pins or Long or Straight Drives and other novelty events.
ELECTRIC GOLF CARS/HIRE EQUIPMENT
We have 15 electric golf carts in our fleet. Each golf car carries two players and their equipment Advance bookings are recommended. Whilst group bookings are welcome, it is an option for individual players to reserve golf carts directly with the Pro Shop.
- Electric Golf Carts (includes GST) - $40.00 per cart
- Pull buggies and hire clubs are also available on request.
PRO SHOP
Our Club Professional, Paul Lorimer and staff are available for your day. They can be booked for pre-game clinics or accompany groups on the course during your event. The Pro Shop is fully stocked with all golfing equipment and offers a wide selection of acceptable prizes
THE “HALF WAY” HOUSE
Asquith Golf Club has an excellent “Half Way House” which offers a range of drinks and food items depending on the size of your group. Special arrangements are required.
In addition to the 15 golf car fleet, a drink cart is also available for hire, the club can arrange a driver for you. For consistency of service, we recommend the refreshment cart not be used as a substitute for the Half Way House rather is welcome as a support service.
- Refreshment Car (includes GST) - $70.00 hire charge
Items from the Half Way House and drink cars may be charged on a consumption basis to your master account or on a cash basis to the individual.
PRE AND AFTER GAME FOOD & BEVERAGE
There is a range of options for “after” game dining including:
- Coffee, Tea and sweet cakes
- Sausage sizzle
- 3 or 4 course Banquet meals
- Buffet
- Finger/Cocktail Food selections
BBQ service is available from the Half Way House after 9 holes through play.
A range of dining menus is enclosed. Please advise of any special dietary needs.
Beverages are charged on a consumption basis. A Function Wine List, which includes a selection of quality bottled red and white wine, including our house wines, is regularly updated and available on request.
