ACCOUNTS/ADMIN CLERK

About

Asquith Golf Club is seeking an Accounts/Admin Clerk – one with the skills and experience to assist the Club with its financial and administration needs.

A key responsibility of this position will be the day-to-day administration of the Club’s finances which will include all financial reporting, annual audit requirements, statutory reporting requirements, the preparation of the monthly management accounts and assistance in preparation of the annual financial statements and annual budget.

The successful applicant will have some formal accounting training. Golf club experience is not necessary but would be an advantage as would be working with Xero. The role reports to the General Manager.

General Responsibilities

  • Assist with financial and accounting procedures
  • Processing payroll that is delivered accurately and in a timely manner and administer personnel records
  • Attending to single touch payroll compliance
  • Ensure all payments are made on time
  • Management of the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Compliance with all statutory requirements – including but not limited to BAS, Payroll Tax and Superannuation
  • Delivery of reconciled monthly management accounts including Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss and Divisional Reports
  • Working with external auditors to produce year end audited financial reports
  • Assist in the development and tracking of annual budget
  • Monitor cash position and liaise with Treasurer on cash investment strategy
  • Assist in stock control and stocktake
  • Banking and associated bank reconciliations
  • Assist with membership, including new member & renewal processing
  • Attend to basic clerical and office duties including answering phones, reception, typing, filing, basic data entry and delivering messages
  • Liaise with and assistance to Audit & Risk Committee as required
  • Assist the General Manager and Administration Manager

Experience

  • Some formal accounting training must have been taken, but a degree in accounting is not a prerequisite
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows
  • Experience in the use of the following software or similar would be an advantage;
  • Xero (accounting)
  • MiClub, MiMembership (golf & Membership)
  • Employment Hero and Your Payroll (HR & payroll)

Qualifications

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) are required, can be obtained on commencement of position.

CASUAL BAR ATTENDANTS

We are looking to employ Casual Bar Attendants with passion, drive & enthusiasm mixed with the training to provide our Members & Guests with the best service and overall experience on the North Shore.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Bar Operations, including cocktail making, dispense bar spirits tap beer and coffee making skills.
  • An understanding of bar procedures and processes including stocktake setup & pack down and cleaning roster.

QUALIFIED GREENKEEPER

We are seeking the employment of a full-time, qualified turf tradesperson.

Applicants will ideally have experience in the following qualifications and skills:

  • Certificate 3 in Sportsturf Management
  • Hold a current Chemical Application certificate
  • Hold a current driver license
  • Experience with an automated irrigation system including all maintenance and repair
  • Sound knowledge of IPM
  • Experience in golf course construction

The applicant will report directly to the Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent and will be required to work a rotating weekend roster (paid overtime). The Club will provide career development through training and the attendance of industry education events.

On the job training will be part of this position and further education opportunities may be available to the right applicant.
