Cock of the Walk - work on the 5th
For over a month now you may have noticed a bedraggled bunch of boys playing in the sand near the 5th green. These are the Cock of The Walk guys, and they have been working earnestly to build the members a concrete path alongside the 5th. These guys have paid for the cost of the materials and given up their Saturday mornings, preparing the area, digging the drainage work, laying the form work and muscle draining job of laying the concrete.
The end result is a fantastic area that adds both value and beauty to the course. The Cock of The Walk guys shall be formally handing over the pathway at the Presentation on Saturday 27th September. Come along and join us.

Captain V President Day
This event was a great night for members and guests who attended our Captain and Presidents Night. We had around 100 people for dinner, and a new format with Martyn Black hosting a Parkinson style round of interviews. Club Members Kim Warwick, a former Davis Cup player, joined Karan Hill a former Australian Cricketer, and new General Manager Michelle Vernon, to be drilled by questions. Also invited along was triple Paralympian and Australia's best know wheelchair track athlete Louise Sauvage.
The night was a casual one, but where members could get close up with some fantastic atheletes. I know a lot of people are looking forward to next year, how can we top this one!!
